| | 7/4 Today was splendid. I never dig holidays, beside Christmas, but I actually had a good day. Here's how it went, more or less: Mom asked if I wanted to go to Fortescue, I thought it sounded fun. Brought the beach chairs and a kite we've never used before. Brought my D60, of course. Went for a walk in the sand, collected glass while my mom collected shells. Got sand in my eye, hurt terribly. Had to run back to Aubrey's house for some eye solution, to no avail. Assembled kite, ordered food from Dino's. Picked up our meal, went back to Fortescue. Sat to eat, wound up watching their parade, which wasn't on our agenda. Finished food, tried flying the kite. Mom crashed it several times. I took pictures, naturally. Sat and watched the sunset. People started piling into the parking lots, we figured someone might be trying to set off a few fireworks. Stayed a while. Fireworks were glorious, you could see them all the way from Delaware, I think. Saw Theo, but didn't say hi. I'm too blah right now to get too into anything. I had a great day, but now, all I want to do is sleep and welcome a new one. I think Kori and I might be trying to hang out on Tuesday, so that's cool. Maybe I'll shop a little, I have money to blow. Oh, and I got my appointment for senior portraits: August 6th. My last day in summer school is August 7th, so that's cool. I just need to figure out what I'm doing to my hair, now. I'm so willing to chop it off, but then I get so absolutely terrified. The styles I like will probably make me look like a butchy lady or a flat out boy, two things I'd like to avoid. Whatever. Sleep now. Think later. |
